Petrobras CRC, straight to the point
CRC (Certificado de Registro Cadastral) is Petrobras’s supplier registration certificate, obtained through Petronect. It brings qualification-document review forward; without registration, full qualification must be demonstrated within the tender deadline. For purchases under value-based exemptions (Automated Selections), Petrobras states that registration in the relevant supply families is essential. Article 65 of Law 13,303/2016 treats registration as an option for the company, not a general supplier requirement: its role depends on the type of purchase you want to participate in. Maximum validity is one year under the same article. There is no published official issuance deadline.

How does CRC help me sell to Petrobras?+
CRC helps your company compete more efficiently. How long does CRC issuance take?+
Petrobras has not published an official deadline. Actual timing depends on the registration type, supply family and especially the quality of the first submission. Start early and prepare the submission carefully.
How long is the certificate valid?+
At most one year, under Article 65 of Law 13,303/2016. Validity is the earliest expiry date among Technical, Economic and Legal criteria. Petrobras recommends requesting renewal up to 60 days before expiry. This is guidance, not a rule carrying a penalty. Once the certificate expires, you must prove full qualification within each tender’s deadline.
Does registration cost anything?+
Registration itself is free. Petrobras states that it does not charge supplier-registration fees and warns against paying third parties claiming to represent it. If unsure, check with cc-cadastrodefornecedores@petrobras.com.br before paying. Petronect separately charges an access fee per CNPJ to participate in public opportunities, with exemptions for micro and small companies (ME/EPP) and exempt purchases below R$ 85,000. What you pay us is for advisory services, never a Petrobras fee.

Why pay if Petronect offers free training?+
Official training teaches you to use the portal, and it is useful. It does not identify the supply families that fit your business or review your questionnaire before submission. Because questionnaires cannot be edited after submission, an advance review reduces the risk of rework.
What if the diagnostic is not useful for my company?+
The form screens your answers first. If it does not indicate an advisory next step, it directs you to our free guide. This initial screening does not establish family compatibility or registration approval. If you later hire our advisory service, the full R$ 397 is credited.
What if CRC is not issued?+
We do not promise approval. Petrobras decides classification and approval based on the family and registration criteria. Our work is to gather documentation, support family selection and review questionnaires before submission.
