Integrity is one of the CRC assessment criteria, alongside Legal, Financial, Technical and HSE. It is part of Petrobras’ Compliance Programme and is assessed through Integrity Due Diligence (DDI).
What is Integrity Due Diligence (DDI)?
It is an investigation of the company’s trustworthiness. The company reports its organisational structure, relationships with public officials and political figures, integrity history, third-party relationships and integrity (compliance) programme.
The Integrity Risk Rating (GRI)
DDI produces an Integrity Risk Rating (GRI), classified as low, medium or high. This is the final assessment stage: identified risk factors are compared with evidence of the company’s integrity mechanisms.
A high GRI can bar contracting
Companies with a high GRI are barred from participating in Petrobras procurement, except for exceptions provided in the regulations. Integrity is therefore not paperwork — it is a condition of access.
How to prepare
- Have a real integrity programme (code of conduct, reporting channel, training) — and evidence that it works.
- Organise the company’s history: proceedings, sanctions and relationships with public authorities.
- Answer DDI questions accurately: inconsistent information weighs against your rating.
Applies to both Corporate and Simplified Registration
The Integrity criterion is required in both registration types — Financial and HSE are the criteria waived by Simplified Registration.
