This is the main source of confusion: registration (CRC) is one thing; the portal’s Access Fee is another. Introduced in July 2018, it is paid by suppliers wishing to participate in a public opportunity process, charged per CNPJ and, since 1 October 2023, operated as a monthly subscription.
What is NOT charged
- Browsing opportunities: no payment is required.
- Direct-award processes: free access.
- Direct awards below R$ 85,000: no charge.
- Microenterprises and Small Businesses (ME/EPP): exempt.
Amounts
Petrobras does not publish amounts in an open price table: official guidance is to check the options and payment slip amount under ‘Minha Assinatura’ (My Subscription) inside the portal. That is why we do not display a price here — it would be a guess.
Registration itself is free — and there is a source for that
The official registration page states explicitly that Petrobras does not charge supplier registration fees. Separate the two once and for all: the CRC (the registration assessment) has no fee; the Access Fee described above belongs to the Petronect portal, for participation in public opportunities, with the exemptions already listed (ME/EPP, browsing, direct awards and amounts below R$ 85,000).
Do not pay anyone claiming to ‘register you with Petrobras’ on its behalf
On the same page, Petrobras advises against paying third parties claiming to represent it and asks that suspicious communications be reported. Nobody represents Petrobras in this process — not even us: we are independent advisers and charge for our work, never for a company fee. Has someone contacted you claiming to act on its behalf? Before paying, verify through the official channel cc-cadastrodefornecedores@petrobras.com.br.
