Start with a practical action
This checklist is organizational guidance from Radar. Check applicable requirements in the relevant family, portal and tender documents.
- 1
Describe your supply scope
List your main products or services, what your team delivers and the limits of your scope. Use descriptions you can substantiate.
- 2
Assign a coordinator
Choose an internal owner to organize information, check portal messages and record the next step.
- 3
Separate known facts from open questions
Record what is available and what needs confirmation. Review the official steps below before submitting information.
The entire registration takes place on the Petronect portal. The official process has five stages:
- 1
Create your Petronect profile
Country, CNPJ (Brazilian company tax ID), contact person and email. This is the access you will use for everything afterwards.
- 2
Identification details
Basic and banking details, supply type and — the most important step — selection of supply families.
- 3
Complete the Assessment Questionnaires
This is where you enter information and attach documents for each criterion (legal, financial, technical, HSE and integrity).
- 4
Check the results
Monitor the status of each criterion until the assessment is complete.
- 5
CRC issuance
A full certificate is issued if all criteria are approved, or a partial certificate if at least one is approved.
Warning: two points of no return
Petrobras warns that identification fields cannot be changed once the details are confirmed, and questionnaires cannot be edited after submission. In other words, a wrong family or a wrong document at submission cannot be fixed with one click — which is why checking before confirming matters.
The status codes you will see
| Status | Meaning |
|---|---|
| D | Expression of Interest |
| A | Approved |
| Q | Technically qualified (technical approval, with financial and/or legal issues outstanding) |
| R | Rejected (unsatisfactory score in one or more requirements) |
| X | Cancelled |
How long does it take?
There is no published official timeframe
You will find ‘3 to 6 months’ on various websites. We checked: that figure does not come from Petrobras or Petronect — it is a consultancy estimate. We do not publish a timeframe as if it were official. The actual time depends on the registration type, the family and, above all, the quality of what you submitted on the first attempt.
