First, the point almost no consultancy puts on its own website: you can register yourself. Petrobras provides free training, support materials and assistance with registration questions. If someone at your company has the time and patience to read the entire process, that route exists and carries no service fee.

- Maps what your company sells to supply families — the decision defining registration type, criteria and invitations.
- Gathers documents for each criterion and manages validity on the questionnaire SUBMISSION date, not the date collection started.
- Links each attachment to the correct requirement: a misplaced attachment may not be found by the assessor and counts as missing.
- Reviews questionnaires before submission — which is irreversible.
- Monitors each criterion’s status and renewal, which Petrobras advises requesting up to 60 days before expiry.
What no adviser can do
There is no ‘special access’ — or accreditation of consultancies
We searched the Supplier Channel and Petronect: there is no list of partners, accredited advisers, authorised representatives or any Petrobras endorsement of intermediaries. Petrobras performs the assessment using the same criteria for everyone. If someone suggests they have a special channel, relationship or influence over the assessment, they are selling something that does not exist.
- Guarantee approval: Petrobras decides the score for each criterion.
- Speed up assessment: there is no published official timeframe, much less a priority queue.
- Change what a criterion requires or waive a document required by the family.
- Edit an already submitted questionnaire — neither your company nor the consultancy can do that.
Warning signs
- ‘Guaranteed approval’ or ‘100% approval’: nobody controls Petrobras’ assessment.
- A fixed deadline (‘your CRC in 30 days’): no official assessment timeframe is published — anyone promising a date is guessing on your behalf.
- A fixed price before looking at your case: effort depends on registration type, number of families and the state of your documents.
- Promises of relationships with buyers or ‘greater visibility’ in opportunities.
- An extra charge for a supposed ‘Petrobras fee’: the only documented charge is the Access Fee paid to the portal, with ME/EPP exempt.
- A contract delivering only submission, with no responsibility for reviewing what was submitted.
What it costs: the two pricing models
There is no market price table for CRC advisory services — and we do not publish one as if there were. What we can honestly describe is the two models consultancies use:

What the market charges
We surveyed prices advertised by Petrobras registration consultancies: the advertised range is R$ 1,495 to R$ 3,495 per month. These are not official prices — they are competitors’ advertised figures, for reference only. The calculation that matters is not the instalment: it is the total through certificate issuance. A ‘cheap’ monthly fee multiplied by a long process can easily exceed a one-off price.
Questions to ask before hiring
- Which families will you register me in — and why those?
- Do those families require Corporate or Simplified Registration?
- Who reviews the questionnaire before submission, and do I see its contents before it is sent?
- Is the price one-off or monthly? If monthly, when do payments stop?
- If a criterion is rejected or further information is requested, is rework included?
- Is renewal (which Petrobras advises requesting up to 60 days before expiry) included in the contract or a new service?
- What do I receive in writing before paying?
- Who is technically responsible for the work — and can I speak with that person?
Be wary of the reversed pattern
Many people say ‘it depends’ about price and ‘guaranteed’ about results. It should be the reverse: a price can be fixed after someone examines your case; nobody can guarantee the result.
That is why we issue a proposal only after the diagnostic: without knowing which families you fit and what is missing in each criterion, any price would be a guess — too high or too low.
