A CRC is not mandatory to participate in a tender — Petrobras itself states this — but it is decisive: without one, all qualification documents must be proven within the tender deadline. An active CRC in the right Pipelines/Subsea family brings that proof forward and reduces the risk of document-related disqualification. There is, however, a category where registration stops being an advantage and becomes a requirement: Petrobras says registration in the families of interest is essential to participate in Automated Selections — procurement up to the value-based direct-award threshold.
