Partial or full CRC?

When Petrobras issues a full CRC or a partial one — and what each changes for your company when bidding for tenders in its family.

Original editorial update: · Translation reviewed:

At the end of assessment, Petrobras issues the Registration Certificate (CRC) at one of two levels, depending on how many criteria your company meets for the family of interest.

  • Full CRC: the company meets ALL criteria applicable to the family of interest.
  • Partial CRC: the company meets AT LEAST ONE of the applicable criteria.

What changes in practice

The CRC proves in advance the criteria you have passed. With a partial certificate, unmet criteria must be proven by other means within the tender deadline — tightening your schedule and increasing the risk of disqualification. A full certificate brings the entire qualification forward.

A partial certificate is enough to get started

A partial CRC does not prevent you from bidding; it only covers part of qualification. It is common to start with a partial certificate and complete the criteria later — what matters is knowing what still needs to be proven under the tender notice.
