Corporate or Simplified CRC?

The difference between Corporate and Simplified Registration for the Petrobras CRC: which criteria each requires and why the family — not the company — determines the registration type.

Original editorial update: · Translation reviewed:

The Petrobras CRC has two registration types. Which applies to you is not your choice: it follows from the supply family in which your company registers.

What determines the registration type

The supply family does. Higher-criticality families (construction, high-risk services, critical HSE items) require Corporate Registration, with financial and HSE assessment. Simpler families allow Simplified Registration, which waives those two criteria.

How supply families are organised

Corporate does not mean ‘better’

Neither is superior — they are different paths according to family risk. Simplified Registration is faster precisely because it requires less; if your family allows it, there is no reason to pursue Corporate Registration.

Choosing the family comes first

Because the registration type follows from the family, choosing the wrong family changes the entire assessment framework. Questionnaires cannot be edited after submission — check everything beforehand.
